Redondo Beach, CA — A sophomore at Redondo Union High School who goes by the alias “We Are Pedro” has reportedly taken artistic protest to a whole new decibel level.
According to several amused classmates, the 16-year-old released a pulsing anti-ICE electronic track titled “ICE Men Leave” — performed by his self-invented EDM duo Lux & Lotus — after a controversial teacher allegedly asked for a “moment of silence” for conservative pundit Charlie Kirk during class.
“That’s when everyone in the room just froze,” said one student who requested anonymity. “Like—what the hell are we even doing right now?”
The teacher, who has not been publicly named by the school, is also said to have praised ICE officers in previous lessons, telling students they “don’t get enough respect.”
In response, We Are Pedro produced “ICE Men Leave,” a politically charged club banger that samples distorted chants and police-radio static. He then allegedly sent the YouTube link directly to the teacher and began playing the track outside the teacher’s Lawndale apartment after midnight for several nights in a row. Neighbors, according to property-management emails seen by Star Buzz Daily, have since threatened to evict the teacher if the late-night electronic barrage doesn’t stop. Now, the song is available on Youtube music, Itunes, Spotify and Tiktok
When reached for comment, We Are Pedro stood by his actions.
Redondo Union High administrators declined to comment, citing student-privacy laws, but confirmed that they “take all classroom concerns seriously.”
Meanwhile, Lux & Lotus’s unexpected debut single has found an audience far beyond the South Bay, amassing hundreds of plays from listeners who describe it as “industrial activism for Gen Z.”
